Testimonials

“St Brendan’s was lucky enough to spend the day with Doctor Matthews and got so much more out of our day than we had hoped for. From the start Alana was able to establish the interests of the group and tailor her delivery to the perfect pitch which included a range from cloud processing to pathways into research. As a result our students felt they could ask any and all questions and left knowing so much more than they came in with and enthused for future careers.

The VR section of the experience was fantastic. Students were able to not only experience VR but to see how it can be applied to training and enhancing health care which led to inspired conversations about the future of AR and AI in the NHS.”

St Brendan’s Sixth Form, Bristol
The VR experience was instantly engaging for our students and they were very enthusiastic, especially as many of them had never used virtual reality headsets before. The activities in VR were interesting and closely linked to our curriculum, particularly to our A Level course. We also ran sessions with GCSE students and this has directly resulted in more enquiries about continuing study of Physics to A Level.
In the sessions, Alana facilitated reflective discussions with the students and encouraged them to think critically about the activities. We also really valued Alana’s expertise and insight for our students who are considering their career paths into medicine-related fields. Alana was approachable, highly knowledgeable and flexible, making sure that the sessions delivered the maximum impact for our students.
